where it all began
Detoursy started with a road trip. No real agenda, just a map of the American West, a car full of sketchbooks, and a need to get away from the daily grind. Somewhere between sunrise in the Tetons and starry skies near Mount Olympus, an idea took route: what if the feeling of those places; the wonder, awe, and stillness could follow you home?
As a lifelong artist and traveler, I began turning sketches from that journey into posters that captured more than a view. They captured an emotion. A memory. A sense of peace I didn’t want to lose.
And just like that, Detoursy was born.

The name came to me late one night, parked under the stars after a last-minute turn off the highway. I hadn’t planned to stop, but that unmarked detour led to one of the most memorable nights of my trip.
